SDCC 2020–Costumed Challenge Workouts

2020 has definitely destroyed the power coupling on our CosPlay engines, but not to worry as the dork/nerd inside of Coach Andrea has a solution! Even though we won’t be able to experience the awesomeness that is San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) this year, let’s get dressed up anyway and support your health…and charity! What was going to be a simple Instagram challenge has morphed into hosting SDCC-inspired workouts! Come along for a workout on either July 22, 2020 or July 25, 2020 (or both!) and sweat with light sabers and show off your super powers. Spots are limited to 35 for each event* for fun fitness fans only, so act fast!

Star Wars BYOLS (or Blaster… Pew Pew!) Workout
Wed. July 22, 2020
6:00pm-7:00pm
Hilltop Community Park

Instead of wandering around the exhibit hall on Preview night, how about dawning your Jedi robe or Stormtrooper kit and partaking in a Stars Wars workout? To celebrate STARS, profits from this night will go towards your choice of a science-centered charity.

The charity options are:
Seti Institute,
Planetary Society, or the
American Association for the Advancement of Science

Avenger’s Assemble! Are you a superhero in need of something to save? Don your favorite Marvel or DC costume and spend your Saturday morning on the marina side of the SD Convention Center doing a SUPER-fun workout!

Please note your event and charity choice in the ‘notes’ section of your payment and Coach Andrea will send a check! Donation amount is a minimum of $15 per event.

*If each event reaches 35 people faster than the Millennium Falcon can do the Kessel Run then Coach Andrea will consider rallying together her group of interns to assist and open it up to more people.

Understandably, 2020 requires that we connect with caution and we will do our best to do so!
– Masks are required at check in and any times that you may be in close proximity to another participant, Coach Andrea, or her assistants…if Spiderman wears a mask—so can we!
– No to minimal equipment will be used (a list will be provided for each workout should you want to bring your own!), but when necessary, we will supply sanitizing spray.

Give a follow on Instagram or a like on Facebook to keep up to date with the events as well as other fun stuff from Coach Andrea.

Are you a photographer and want to participate…but not by crunching while costumed? Please email Coach Andrea to partner for either (or both) events!
